About

I am non-binary (pronouns they/he)  fiber and material artist based in Chicago.  I love to work with vibrant and textured materials that explore the intersections of creativity, mental health, and personal narrative. From an early age, I recognized the transformative power of art, beginning my journey in art therapy, where I learned healthy coping skills to navigate the complexities of their mental health.

As a child, I immersed myself in drawing and writing, but it was at the age of 12 that I discovered my true passion for fiber arts through knitting and weaving. This discovery sparked a lifelong dedication to honing my craft, leading me to specialize in hand-spun yarn, weaving, and embroidery.

My work aims to foster dialogue about the significance of self-expression and resilience, illustrating the healing nature of creativity. Through my artistry, I attempt to inspire others to find connection and meaning in the art of craftsmanship, encouraging an appreciation for the unique stories that each piece tells.

Today, I work out of a cozy home studio, a space shared with my partner and beloved cats, which provides a rich source of inspiration.
